Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- caraway seed - 2 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- dash of oregano - 1 item
- kaiser rolls - 1 item
- rump roast - 6 lb
- green peppers, cut into strips - 3 item
How to make italian beef:
Salt and pepper meat that has been placed in the Dutch oven. Add bay leaf, oregano, vinegar, caraway seed and first 1/2 cup of water. Cook slowly for three hours.Take out meat. Add three cups of water and green pepper strips; cook for thirty minutes. Slice beef thinly and return to pot to cook for an additional thirty minutes with the green peppers. Serve on kaiser rolls with hot chili peppers.
