Indian pudding
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- molasses - 1 c
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- cornmeal - 5 Tbsp
- milk, scalded - 1 qt
How to make indian pudding:
Gradually add cornmeal to scalded milk, stirring constantly and continue to cook in double boiler for 20 minutes. Add all the other ingredients and turn into buttered baking dish. Pour 1 cup cold milk over top. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serve with Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Egg.
