Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- semi-sweet chocolate - 1 item
- milk - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- whipping cream - 1 pt
- margarine, melted - 1/4 lb
- egg yolks, beaten - 2 item
- Knox gelatine - 1 Tbsp
- egg whites, beaten - 2 item
- Cook until hot
How to make ice cream pie:
In top of double boiler, dissolve gelatine in cold milk. Cook until hot. Cream the egg yolks, sugar and salt. Gradually add to hot milk and cook until thick, 10 to 15 minutes. Cool. Whip the cream. Beat egg whites and fold into cooled, cooked mixture. Pour into 2 baked graham cracker crusts. Grate chocolate on top.Graham Cracker Crust:24 single graham crackers, crushed fine1/4 lb. margarine, melted pinch of salt Mix together and bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool.Chill pies for several hours before cutting. Keep refrigerated.
