  • vanilla
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 3 c
  • nuts - 1 c
  • can crushed pineapple - 1 oz
  • cooking oil
  • mashed bananas - 2 c
  • stick margarine, melted - 1 item
  • box 10x confectioners sugar - 1 item
  • Pour other ingredients over flour mixture and stir

How to make hummingbird cake:

Sift dry ingredients together in large mixing bowl and mix well. Pour other ingredients over flour mixture and stir. Do not beat. Bake in tube pan at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.Icing:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1 stick margarine, melted1 box 10x confectioners sugar1 c. chopped nuts Mix all ingredients and frost cake.
