  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • nuts optional - 1 c
  • salad oil - 2 Tbsp
  • hottest tap water
  • favorite ice cream - 1 item

How to make hot fudge sundae cake:

Heat oven to 350°. In ungreased square 9 x 9-inch pan, stir together flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with a fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread in pan evenly. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Cut cake top with ice cream and sauce from under cake.
