Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- coconut - 3/4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- shortening - 1/2 c
- nuts - 3/4 c
- cream - 3 Tbsp
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- Then add to cooled oats and mix
How to make oatmeal cake:
Add to mixture and mix well. Then add to cooled oats and mix. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.Oatmeal Cake Icing:1 c. brown sugar3 Tbsp. cream1/2 c. butter3/4 c. nuts3/4 c. coconut Spread on warm cake. Put under broiler 1 to 2 minutes.
