Ingredients/Components
- box lemon cake mix - 1 item
- lemon instant pudding 4 serving size - 1 pkg
- water - 1 c
- Crisco oil - 1/3 c
- large eggs - 4 item
- Blend all ingredients in a large bowl
- sifted powdered sugar - 1 c
- grated lemon rind - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice
How to make lemon pound cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Blend all ingredients in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick inserted comes out clean. Can be served plain or with Lemon Glaze.Lemon Glaze:1 1/2 Tbsp. milk1 c. sifted powdered sugar1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind1 Tbsp. butter1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice Heat milk and butter together. Measure sugar into bowl; add hot liquid and stir until smooth. Then add juice and rind. Pour over cake, letting it run down sides.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
