Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • paprika - 1 item
  • slices bread, cubed - 6 item
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • mayonnaise - 1/2 c
  • diced celery - 1/2 c
  • diced, cooked chicken - 3 c
  • green pepper - 1/4 c
  • can chicken soup - 1 item
  • shredded sharp cheese - 1 c

How to make hot chicken salad:

Prepare day before: Spread 3 slices bread, cubed, in buttered 9 x 11-inch casserole. Mix the next 6 ingredients and place on cubed bread. Cube remaining bread and spread over chicken. Mix eggs with milk. Stir well and pour over casserole. Refrigerate overnight.

Before baking, cover with well stirred but not diluted chicken soup. Cover with cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
