Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2/3 c
• salt - 2 tsp
• flour - 2/3 c
• water - 1 c
• vinegar - 1/2 c
• cooking oil - 3/4 c
• lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
• dry mustard - 1/2 tsp

How to make homemade miracle whip:

To make sawmill gravy, use the bacon drippings or fried ham grease left in the skillet after frying the meat and taking it out. Add flour to the hot grease and let it brown slightly. Thin the mixture a little with water, then add milk and salt and pepper. Stir and cook until fairly thick. Great with Cat Head Biscuits.
