Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • coconut - 1/4 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • honey - 1/4 c
  • sesame seed - 1/4 c
  • old fashioned oats - 4 c
  • oil optional - 1/3 c
  • untoasted wheat germ - 1 c

How to make homemade granola:

In saucepan, mix peanut butter, honey, oil, milk and salt. Pour dry ingredients and stir. Add sauce mixture. Pour into broiler pan. Bake in 300° oven for 20 minutes. Stir and bake 10 more minutes. Store in tightly covered container.

Variations: Add raisins and dates. Use as cereal, snack or topping for ice cream.
