Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • rolled oats - 8 c
  • sunflower seeds - 1/2 c
  • pitted dates - 1 c
  • large ripe bananas - 2 item
  • unsweetened coconut - 1 c

How to make granola:

Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl. In blender, whiz bananas, dates and water. Mix all ingredients well. Spread on jelly roll pan 1/2-inch thick. Bake at 200° for 90 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes until golden and almost dry. Turn oven off and leave pans in oven to complete drying. Store in airtight container. Wheat germ, bran, sesame seed and raisins can be added.
