Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 1 c
  • sour cream - 1/4 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
  • Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • Italian seasoning - 1/2 tsp
  • onion powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Havarti cheese - 1/2 c
  • Italian style seasoned bread crumbs - 2 Tbsp
  • shredded Cheddar cheese, separated - 3/4 c

How to make herbed macaroni and cheese:

Cook macaroni; drain well. Place in a 1 1/2-quart casserole; set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk. Cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat. Add sour cream, 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese and all of the Havarti. Stir until melted. Pour sauce over macaroni; mix well.

Combine Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs and remaining Cheddar cheese; sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
