Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- can beets, drained reserve liquid - 1 item
How to make harvard beets:
Combine sugar, cornstarch and seasoning in saucepan. Stir in 3/4 cup of beet liquid and vinegar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for 2 minutes. Add beets and butter. Simmer about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
