Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2/3 c
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- small onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- sliced, cooked beets - 3 c
How to make harvard beets:
Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Add water, vinegar and salt and bring to boil, stirring. Add beets and onion; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in butter until melted. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
