- butter - 3 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- hamburger
- sprigs parsley - 6 item
- peppercorns - 10 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- cans water - 2 item
- medium carrots, sliced - 4 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- cans consomme - 3 item
- celery tops, cut up - 4 item
How to make hamburger soup:
Melt butter, add onion and cook until limp. Add beef and stir until meat is no longer red. Pour in tomatoes, consomme and water. Add rest of ingredients. Cover and cook over low heat about 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Clear soup, Main dish.
