Ingredients/Components
- slices bacon, cut in half - 10 item
- large onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings - 1 item
- frozen green beans - 2 lb
- cans chopped tomatoes - 2 1/2
How to make green bean casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Bake in large baking dish with lid. Layer in order: green beans, salt and pepper to taste, can of tomatoes, onion rings and bacon (to cover beans). Makes at least 2 layers or 3 is better. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours. When done, bacon on top will brown. Makes 12 or more servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Green/yellow beans.
