Greek rice
Ingredients/Components
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- grated orange rind - 2 tsp
- cooked rice - 2 c
- apple, peeled and grated - 1 c
- cardamon - 1/4 tsp
- raisins, plumped in hot water - 1/2 c
How to make greek rice:
Cook onion in butter until tender. Add cardamon, orange rind, butter, apple and raisins. Cook 5 minutes. Add to 2 cups cooked rice and serve immediately. Serves 6. (Uncooked rice increases 4 times.)Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, Long Grain rice.
