Ingredients/Components
- 2 can tomatoes
- can water - 1/2 item
- stew meat
- medium onion, cut fine - 1 item
- or 2 sticks celery, cut fine - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- potatoes - 1 item
- carrots - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 tsp
How to make grandma's beef stew:
Heat tomatoes, water, onion and celery to boiling. Then add the meat. Cook 5 minutes; lower heat and add salt and pepper. Cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours until meat is tender. Add water, if necessary. Add the vegetables the last half hour of cooking time. Add chili powder and thicken juice with flour and water just before serving.
