Ingredients/Components
- large Pippin apples, peeled - 8 item
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter, softened divided use - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 item
- vanilla ice-cream optional - 1 item
How to make grandma's apple crisp:
Preheat oven to 375°. Combine 1/2 cup butter, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon for topping. In a 7 x 7-inch pan, spread apples and dot with 1/4 cup butter and lemon. Crumble topping generously over apples. bake for 30 minutes. Touch with knife to test apples for softness.
