Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • bread crumbs - 1/3 c
  • medium potatoes - 6 item
  • bunch green onions, chopped - 1 item
  • grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 10 oz

How to make golden potato casserole:

Scrub potatoes; cook in boiling salted water until tender. Remove from water and cool. Peel and grate with a coarse grater. Add sour cream, onions, cheese, milk, salt and pepper. Mix and turn into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Combine bread crumbs and butter; sprinkle on top. Bake at 300° for 50 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
