Ingredients/Components

  • all-purpose flour
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • softened butter - 1/4 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • light molasses - 1/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • sweetened whipped cream - 1 item

How to make gingerbread:

Heat oven to 325°. In small bowl combine all ingredients except whipped cream. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (1 to 2 minutes). Pour into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into squares. Serve warm with sweetened whipped cream.
