Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- molasses - 1 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- hot water - 1 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Cream the shortening and add sugar. Add beaten egg, molasses and dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Add hot water. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
