- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- molasses - 3 Tbsp
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Second:1 c. buttermilk3 Tbsp. molasses1 egg1 tsp. soda Combine first 6 ingredients as for pie dough. Save 1/2 cup mixture for topping. Add second ingredients and blend well for 2 minutes. Put into a 10 x 16-inch pan. Sprinkle on topping. Bake at 350° for 1/2 hour.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
