German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water
- cider vinegar - 2/3 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- slices bacon - 5 item
- sliced, cooked, peeled potatoes - 6 c
How to make german potato salad:
In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Set aside. Drain all but 2/3 of drippings, cook onion until tender. Stir in flour and blend well. Add vinegar and water. Cook and stir until slightly thick. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves. Crumble bacon. Stir in bacon and potatoes and heat thoroughly to coat potatoes. Serve warm.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
