Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • water
  • cider vinegar - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • cubed, cooked potatoes - 8 c
  • strips bacon, cubed - 8 item

How to make baked german potato salad:

Fry bacon until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels. Drain off fat. Return 1/4 cup to skillet. Add celery and onion and cook 1 minute. Blend in flour. Stir in water and vinegar; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and bubbly. Stir in sugar, salt and pepper.

Pour mixture over potatoes and bacon in greased 3-quart casserole. Mix lightly. Cover. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes.
