German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small green pepper - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- hard-boiled eggs - 3 item
- slices bacon - 6 item
- medium size potatoes - 6 item
How to make german potato salad:
Boil potatoes with the skins on; cool, peel and slice. Dice bacon, onion and green pepper. Fry bacon pieces in a skillet. Saute onion and green pepper with bacon. Dice eggs; add to potatoes. Mix vinegar, sugar and 2 teaspoons salt with 1/2 cup water. Add to bacon-onion-pepper mixture; heat to a boil. Pour over potatoes and eggs.
