German meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt
- vegetable oil - 2 3
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- snipped fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- fine dry bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- finely chopped onion - 1/2 c
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- sauerkraut undrained - 1 can
How to make german meatballs:
In a mixing bowl, combine first 10 ingredients; shape into 18 meatballs 2 inches each. Heat the oil in a skillet; brown the meatballs. Remove meatballs and drain fat. Spoon sauerkraut into skillet; top with meatballs. Cover and simmer for 10 to 20 minutes or until meatballs are done. Add water if necessary.
