Ingredients/Components
- box rosamarina or orzo pasta - 1/2 lb
- jar maraschino cherries - 1 oz
- sugar - 3/4 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- cans crushed pineapple - 2 oz
- can mandarin oranges - 1 item
- large Cool Whip - 1 item
How to make fruited rice:
Cook pasta according to directions. Drain cherries and cook this juice with sugar, flour and eggs until thick. Mix this with pasta and chill 2 to 4 hours or overnight. Drain crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges. Cut oranges and cherries in half. Fold fruit and Cool Whip into pasta. Chill.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, Brown rice.
