Ingredients/Components
- raisins - 1/4 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- onions, thinly sliced - 1/4 c
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- apple juice - 1 c
- apples, peeled and diced - 1/2 c
How to make fruited rice:
In a saucepan, combine uncooked rice with chicken broth and apple juice; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, until all liquid is absorbed. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt margarine. Add apples; saute for 3 minutes. Stir in raisins and onions; saute 3 more minutes. Add rice to skillet and toss.
