  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 4 Tbsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • can fruit cocktail, drained - 1 item

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Mix by hand, sugar, flour, soda, salt and egg. Add drained fruit cocktail and mix until moistened. Put half of nuts in greased 8-inch pan. Add mixture and spread evenly. Mix brown sugar and rest of nuts. Spread on top. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 325°.
