Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 1 doz
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 1 lb
- all-purpose flour - 4 c
- nuts optional - 1 c
- box raisins - 1 item
- mixed candied fruit - 2 c
- box white raisins - 1 item
- candied cherries red and green - 1 c
- brown sugar or 2 c - 1 lb
How to make fruit cake:
Combine eggs, sugar and butter (melted); mix well. Add flour. Mix well. Add vanilla. Add fruit, raisins and nuts; mix. Pour into ungreased angel food cake pan. Steam in a 6-quart canner with rack in bottom for 3 to 4 hours. Take off stove. Remove fromRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
