Ingredients/Components

  • diced meat leftover beef, turkey, chicken or pork - 2 c
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • celery, chopped on angle - 1 c
  • boiled rice
  • slices bacon - 3 item
  • soy sauce - 4 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
  • red pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
  • cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp

How to make fried rice:

In a large heavy frypan or wok, heat oil and brown meat slightly. Push aside and saute vegetables a few minutes. Remove from pan. Chop bacon and brown until crisp. Scramble eggs and remove from pan. Add rice, sorta sear. Keep stirring until rice is all seared. Add meat, eggs and bacon and season with spices. If too dry, add 1/2 cup of water and soy sauce. Be sure to stir up well. Too much soy will make it salty, more can be added at the table according to taste.
