- flour - 2 c
- vegetable oil - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- to 3 eggs, beaten - 2 item
- large green tomatoes, sliced 1/4-inch thick - 5 item
How to make fried green tomatoes:
Salt and pepper tomato slices. Dip tomato slices into beaten eggs, then into flour. Drop into deep hot oil; let fry until golden brown. Makes about 2 dozen. Serve alone or with meal.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
