Ingredients/Components
- bacon - 1 lb
- frozen green beans or fresh green beans - 20 oz
- large onion, diced - 1 item
- salt - 1 item
- pepper - 1 item
- water
How to make fried green beans:
Cut up bacon in pieces and fry. Drain off most of the grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in skillet. Add green beans and diced onion. Let cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add water and cover. Let simmer over low heat, about an hour, stirring about every 15 minutes. Remove lid and let brown a little before serving.
