Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- ground red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- yellow cornmeal - 2/3 c
- catfish fillets
- shortening or cooking oil - 1 item
- mustard prepared - 2 Tbsp
How to make fried catfish:
Spread catfish with a thin coating of mustard. Combine cornmeal, salt, pepper and red pepper in a plastic bag. Add fish and shake to coat. Heat cooking oil to 375° in a deep 12-inch skillet.
