Fresh tomato pasta
Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic, minced - 3 item
- freshly ground black pepper - 1 item
- chopped fresh basil - 2 c
- stick unsalted butter, melted - 1/2 item
- large tomatoes, chopped - 4 item
- virgin olive oil - 1/4 c
- capellini angel hair - 1 lb
- cubed Italian bread - 4 c
How to make fresh tomato pasta:
Preheat oven to 400°. Toss bread with butter and 2/3 of garlic. Put on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Add a little salt. Toss tomatoes with basil and rest of garlic. Cook pasta in 4 quarts boiling water according to package directions. Add drained pasta to tomatoes and croutons. Add freshly ground pepper. Drizzle olive oil over and mix well.
