Fresh apple cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 2 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 3 c
• oil - 1 c
• soda - 1/2 tsp
• light brown sugar - 1/2 c
• nuts if desired - 1 c
• apples, chopped - 4 c
• Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt and soda

How to make fresh apple cake:

Mix apples and sugar together and let stand 1 hour. Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt and soda. Mix together oil, vanilla and eggs.

Add dry ingredients and mix together by hand. Stir in apples and nuts (if desired). Bake in greased tube pan at 350° for 1 hour. Serve plain or glaze.Glaze:1/2 c. butter1/2 c. light brown sugar2 tsp. milk Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Cook 2 minutes and spread on cake while warm.
