Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • shredded coconut - 1 c
  • flour, sifted - 2 c
  • apples, peeled and diced - 4 c
  • Add eggs and beat

How to make fresh apple cake:

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and beat. Beat in remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° approximately 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.Icing:1 c. dark brown sugar1/2 c. butter1/4 c. milk1 c. shredded coconut1 tsp. vanilla Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring. Simmer 3 more minutes, stirring. Cool and pour over hot cake.
