Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 2 item
- eggs, well beaten - 5 item
- lemon flavor - 1 tsp
- coconut flavor - 1 tsp
- butter flavor - 1 tsp
- rum flavor - 1 tsp
- each of 5 flavors plus 1 tsp - 1 tsp
How to make five flavor cake:
Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. water1 tsp. each of 5 flavors plus 1 tsp. almond extract Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light. Add eggs. Combine flour, baking powder. Add to mixture with milk. Stir in flavoring. Spoon into 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.Glaze: Combine ingredients in saucepan. Bring to boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour on 1/2 of glaze while cake is in pan and other half when removed.
