  • sugar - 3 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
  • butter flavoring - 1 tsp
  • eggs, well beaten - 6 item
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • rum flavoring - 1 tsp
  • almond flavoring - 1 tsp
  • coconut flavoring - 1 tsp

How to make five flavor cake:

Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. water1 tsp. vanilla1 tsp. butter flavoring1 tsp. lemon flavoring1 tsp. coconut flavoring1 tsp. rum flavoring1 tsp. almond flavoring Cake: Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, which have been beaten until lemon colored. Combine flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in flavorings. Spoon batter into greased tube pan or Bundt pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Turn out on rack and glaze.

Glaze: Heat all ingredients on stove until sugar melts for about 5 minutes, then pour over cake while still warm. Good for the holidays, very moist.
