Ingredients/Components
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- celery stalks - 2 item
- water - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1 Tbsp
- medium diced potato - 1 item
- fish, cut in chunks - 1 lb
- small can whole kernel corn do not drain - 1 item
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- can milk - 1 c
How to make fish chowder:
Add green pepper, celery and diced onion to pan with little oil and saute. Add 1/2 cup water, potato, fish, corn and seasonings and simmer until potatoes are tender. Add milk and heat until hot; do not boil. May add a little butter and smoke, if you like. I like a little more milk.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Cod.
