Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 2 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- fig preserves, cut up - 1 c
How to make fig cake:
Sift together first 7 ingredients. Add oil, mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Add cut up fig preserves and nuts. Mix well. Bake in tube pan on 325° for 1 hour (more if needed).Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Southern u.s..
