Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- melted butter - 1 c
- corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- fig preserves - 1 c
- Mix dry ingredients
How to make fig cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix dry ingredients. Add melted butter and eggs and beat. Slowly add remaining ingredients. Stir. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. Add sauce when cake is done.Sauce:1 c. sugar1 Tbsp. corn syrup1/2 c. buttermilk1 stick margarine1 Tbsp. vanilla Mix and bring to boil. Boil 3 minutes.
