Ingredients/Components
- heavy cream
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- sliced mushrooms - 1/2 c
- small chopped onion - 1 item
- small chopped green pepper - 1 item
- to 8 slices bacon, cooked and crushed may substitute Canadian bacon, diced - 6 item
How to make fettucini carbonara:
Cook bacon; crumble. Saute onion, green pepper, mushrooms, garlic and oregano. Beat 1 egg in cream over low heat. Mix all ingredients. Toss in 1 1/3 cups of Parmesan or Romano cheese. Serve over linguine or spaghetti.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Pasta, rice and grains.
