Ingredients/Components

  • heavy cream
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • sliced mushrooms - 1/2 c
  • small chopped onion - 1 item
  • small chopped green pepper - 1 item
  • to 8 slices bacon, cooked and crushed may substitute Canadian bacon, diced - 6 item

How to make fettucini carbonara:

Cook bacon; crumble. Saute onion, green pepper, mushrooms, garlic and oregano. Beat 1 egg in cream over low heat. Mix all ingredients. Toss in 1 1/3 cups of Parmesan or Romano cheese. Serve over linguine or spaghetti.
