Favorite pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- unbaked 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
- light corn syrup - 1 c
- pecan halves
- melted butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
How to make favorite pecan pie:
Prick bottom and sides of pastry shell; bake at 400° for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool. Beat eggs until light and lemon colored; add sugar and corn syrup, beating until fluffy. Add butter, salt and vanilla; stir well. Pour filling into pastry shell. Top with pecan halves. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until center is firm.
