Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • unbaked 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
  • light corn syrup - 1 c
  • shortening, melted
  • coarsely chopped pecans - 1 c

How to make holiday pecan pie:

Combine first 7 ingredients; beat well. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350° and continue to bake for 25 minutes.
