  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • light corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • pecans - 1 c
  • melted butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • 9-inch pie shell, uncooked - 1 item

How to make pecan pie:

Combine butter, sugar and corn syrup. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Cool; add eggs, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Pour into pie shell and top with pecan halves. Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minute or until knife inserted comes out clean.
