English muffin bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 5 to
- water - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- cornmeal - 1 item
- active yeast - 2 pkg
How to make english muffin bread:
Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda. Heat liquids until very warm (120° to 130°). Add liquid to dry ingredients. Stir in remaining flour until dough is stiff. Spoon into two 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Cover with a cloth and let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
