Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/4 c
- plain gelatin
- brandy - 3 Tbsp
- cream, whipped - 1/2 c
- finely rolled graham crackers
How to make eggnog pie:
Combine graham crackers and 1/4 cup sugar; add gradually to softened butter; stir in water. Press into pie plate. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Soak gelatin in 1/4 cup of the milk for 5 minutes. Scald rest of milk. Separate eggs; beat yolks slightly; add 1/3 cup sugar and salt. Pour scalded milk over them gradually while stirring. Return to heat and cook, stirring until custard coats spoon. Remove from heat and add gelatin; stir until dissolved. Beat egg whites stiff; fold into custard; add brandy and nutmeg. Chill until thickened. Pour into crust.
