Eggnog pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- gelatin - 1 Tbsp
- cold water - 1/4 c
- whipping cream - 1 c
- 9-inch baked pie shells - 2 item
- bourbon, to taste - 1 item
How to make eggnog pie:
Soften gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes. Combine egg yolks, 1/4 cup sugar, nutmeg, salt and milk. Cook in double boiler until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add softened gelatin and fold in egg whites which have been beaten stiff with 1/4 cup sugar. Add bourbon or bourbon flavoring to taste. Fold in 1 cup of whipped cream.
